During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve become more reliant than ever on technology to keep in touch with family, friends, and colleagues. We’ve also seen accelerated use of technologies which enable us to remotely monitor patients in clinical trials. But not everyone will be comfortable with using these new devices, or communicating with healthcare professionals via phone or video. To some, technology can seem frightening and impersonal.

On July 23, our webinar panel discussed these challenges and how to deploy technologies that can deliver greater patient insight and engagement to ultimately improve patients’ safety and their trial experience.

He has deep expertise in technology, S/w development and sharp business/financials acumen, led C-suite driven strategic initiatives for operational excellence, delivering $200M+ to bottom-line and double-digit top-line growth.

 

Aidan Gannon, Longboat

Aidan Gannon, Head of Innovation and Client Services, Longboat Clinical

Aidan has over 20 years’ experience in clinical research, having managed global studies from both the sponsor and CRO perspective. Aidan’s particular passion is to make participating in clinical trials a more appealing and less burdensome experience for site staff, and patients, their families and caregivers. Longboat develops study portals, tools and apps to support and empower trial participants, site staff, study monitors and the extended study team.

 

Eric Mayer, EDP Biotech

Eric Mayer, CEO, EDP Biotech

Eric is the CEO of EDP Biotech, a Knoxville, Tennesse-based diagnostics company focused on colorectal cancer Early Detection Products. He previously served as EDP Biotech’s VP of Business Development from 2013-2015. Before EDP Biotech, Eric directed business development at BioPet Vet Lab and developed veterinary diagnostic products at AAD, Inc. His experience in biomedical/pharmaceutical start-ups includes Metabolon, Inc. and Cirrus Pharmaceuticals.

 

Victoria Siegrist, Roche

Victoria Siegrist, Global Patient Partnership Director, Roche

Victoria is a Global Patient Partnership Director at Roche, where she is collaborating with the MS (multiple sclerosis) patient community to improve the lives of people living with MS. Currently, she is working with the MS patient community on topics such as clinical trial design and digital solutions.
